For this weeks Distance Learning we had to take different parts of two environmentally friendly minecraft houses to create a new one! For our STEAM we had to come up with a new/modernized vehicle, I really enjoyed doing this and named it Charge. Then we had to come up with a jingle/slogan as well as a billboard to advertise our new vehicle.
For this weeks learning we learned about elephant toothpaste and even had to come up with our own design for a elephant toothbrush! I really enjoyed our STEAM project, drawing my environment friendly wrap for food.
For this weeks learning we learned about graffiti or vandalism? We shared our opinion on what we thought and even got to make a mural design to go somewhere in Papakura! I really enjoyed making my mural design.
For this weeks distance learning we had to draw some 3D shapes and read 6 texts. For our STEAM this week we had to design a playground to build somewhere along the inlet, I really enjoyed drawing my playground and coming up with the design. We also learned about forts! We had the option to include a few forts in our playground design and I put a few in!
For this weeks ready we were learning about "Our Human Body" We had to make a poster about medical terms and what they meant! We learnt about Sarahs life as a diabetic. I really enjoyed learning about our human body and what it does!
For this weeks online learning we are learning about Health and what stuff that we can do Physically to keep us healthy. We had a daily fitness board game to do everyday for 5 minutes. We also had to make a DLO about a healthy life style! I really enjoyed making my pop up card with my cousin!
For one of this weeks reading tasks we had to make a DLO explaining what we think a healthy lifestyle is! I really enjoyed making my DLO about a healthy lifestyle and I also learnt some new things. In my DLO I included a slide about Healthy eating, Physical activity, and Sleep schedule.
For this weeks reading our topic was about balanced diet and how to keep healthy. We learned about what we should be eating and what we shouldn't have much of! For my create activity I chose to make a homemade ice block! They tasted delicious!
For one of the create tasks in our reading slides that I chose I needed to create my own healthy plate of food. I really enjoyed making a healthy lunch plate and maybe one day ill even actually make this plate of food!
For this weeks reading our topic was about Superheroes and Villains. We had to answer questions and try and figure out if a small text was written in 1st person or 3rd person. My favourite part was making up my own superhero (Pantherna) and making a wanted poster for her, as well as writing a story about her and her small crew!
For this weeks distance learning our big question was "Should we keep our borders shut?" We had to figure out if different sentences were facts or opinions! We learned about Venn Diagrams and had to pretend we were on the News and film us interviewing different characters.
For this weeks distance learning we are learning about Cultural Significance. We learned about the Maori culture and had to think if we thought Kapa Haka was good for us, I think that it is. We had to also do a traffic light activity and choose 2 creates to do.
For this weeks reading we are learning if playing video games is good or bad for us. We had to create posters and web profiles about our favourite characters in different video games we like playing. We also had to write our opinions about video games on Jamboard.
For this weeks reading our big question was "What is better, Playing sports or music?" I think that playing sports is better because it keeps you fit and healthy. We had to read a text about the Olympics and take a photo of us pretending to compete in a sport. My favorite part of our reading was making my poster.

For this weeks reading we are learning about folklore creatures such as.. Centaurs, Griffins, Phoenix ETC. We had to draw a conclusion, infer 2 pictures, create a profile and do a word search! I really enjoyed making my profile about the Centaur.
